Univ.-Prof. Dr. Rembert Koczulla

Chief Physician – Center for Pulmonology

Prof. Rembert Koczulla, M.D., is a specialist in internal medicine and pulmonology, chief physician and director of the Center for Pulmonology at Schön Klinik Berchtesgadener Land, and a professor at Philipps University of Marburg. His focus is on pulmonary rehabilitation and the treatment of chronic respiratory diseases, particularly COPD and alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency. From 2021 to 2024, he served as the lead author of the S1 guideline “Long/Post-COVID” and is currently overseeing its upgrade to the S2k guideline. As a medical advisor, Prof. Koczulla supports CEGLA Medizintechnik in the technical evaluation and further development of pulmonology rehabilitation concepts as well as non-pharmacological respiratory therapy methods.

Prof. Rembert Koczulla, M.D., is a specialist in internal medicine and pulmonology. He is Chief Physician and Director of the Center for Pulmonology at the Schön Klinik Berchtesgadener Land, as well as a university professor of pulmonology with a focus on rehabilitation at Philipps University of Marburg.

His clinical and scientific focus lies in pulmonary rehabilitation as well as in the prevention and treatment of chronic respiratory diseases, particularly COPD, including alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AATD).

He places special emphasis on non-pharmacological treatment approaches, the importance of exercise, as well as exercise and respiratory therapy, and evidence-based pulmonological care and its digital implementation.

Prof. Koczulla is the author of over 200 scientific publications and served as lead author of the German S1 guideline “Long/Post-COVID” from 2021 to 2024. He is currently leading the upgrade of this guideline to S2k level.

As a medical advisor, he supports CEGLA Medizintechnik in the technical classification and further development of pulmonological rehabilitation concepts as well as non-pharmacological respiratory therapy methods.

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Boris A. Stuck

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Boris A. Stuck

Director of the Department of Otolaryngology

Prof. Boris A. Stuck, M.D., is a board-certified otolaryngologist and an expert in allergology, sleep medicine, and plastic surgery. Since 2017, he has headed the ENT Clinic at Marburg University Hospital. His areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the upper respiratory tract, particularly the nose and sinuses. Prof. Stuck brings extensive experience in the development of medical guidelines to the table and advises CEGLA Medizintechnik in the fields of nasal therapy and sleep medicine.

Prof. Dr. Boris A. Stuck is a specialist in otolaryngology with additional certifications in allergology, sleep medicine, and plastic surgery. Since 2017, he has served as Director of the Department of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University Hospital of Marburg.

His clinical and scientific focus lies in the diagnosis as well as the conservative and surgical treatment of diseases of the upper respiratory tract, particularly the nose and paranasal sinuses.

For many years, he served as the lead author of the S2k guideline “Diagnosis and Treatment of Rhinosinusitis” published by the German Society of Otorhinolaryngology and possesses proven expertise in guideline-based and evidence-based care for diseases of the upper respiratory tract.

As a medical advisor specializing in the upper respiratory tract, nasal therapy, and sleep medicine, he supports CEGLA Medizintechnik in the technical classification and further development of respiratory therapy concepts.

Dr. Thomas Hausen

Dr. Thomas Hausen

Board-certified physician in general medicine

Dr. Thomas Hausen, M.D., is a board-certified general practitioner with many years of experience in primary care. His areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases, as well as inhalation therapy and patient education. As the author of numerous publications and professional articles, he brings extensive expertise to the table. As an author and medical advisor, he supports CEGLA Medizintechnik, particularly on the patient platform “leichter-atmen.de”

Dr. Thomas Hausen, M.D., is a board-certified physician in general medicine and practiced as a general and sports medicine physician in Essen from 1979 to 2009. His professional focus is on the care of patients with respiratory diseases.

His areas of expertise include, in particular, the diagnosis and treatment of asthma, COPD, and respiratory infections. He places special emphasis on inhalation therapy, patient education, and the practical implementation of evidence-based treatment approaches in primary care.

Dr. Hausen is the author of more than 50 scientific publications as well as numerous continuing education articles and textbooks on pulmonology and general medicine. He has been active in various professional societies, including DEGAM, DGP, and IPCRG.

As an author and medical advisor, he supports CEGLA Medizintechnik—particularly on the “leichter-atmen.de” platform—in creating factually sound content, answering questions from the community, and providing practical guidance on respiratory therapy applications.
