RC-Cornet N

For the physiotherapy of postnasal-drip syndrome and chronic sinusitis


The nasal cornet (RC-Cornet®N) has proven itself as physiotherapeutic aid with and without additional medication in patients with increased secretions of the sinuses and nasopharynx.

  • reduces cough in patients with postnasal-drip
  • increases ventilation of the sinuses
  • helps after mechanical ventilation injury
  • trains the mucosa of the upper airways when used regularly
  • reduces the airway resistence and hyperreactivity of asthmapatients with postnasal-drip

Exhalation through the nose produces pressure fluctuations that open up narrowings of the sinuses so that the mucous can flow out. Additionally, the pressure fluctuations massage the mucosa thereby increasing the blood supply to the nasopharynx, the lymph flow and increasing ciliary action.

The pressure ocsillations of the RC-Cornet®N are produced by exhalation through a swinging valve hose without the need of any power source.

Additionally available is the RC-Cornet®-Adapter with nosepiece. nasenadapteranwender

The adapter can connect the RC-Cornet ® to an inhalation device (e.g. nebuliser). The patient inhales and at the same time receives physiotherapy to the nasopharynx.

The pressure oscillations widen the nasal passages, improve the ventilation of the sinuses and the middle ear and reduce mucous formation of the nasopharynx.
